This session was absolute gold. If you’re looking for the perfect place in South Florida to do a maternity shoot, this is it.
Welcome to Deerfield Beachfront Park—a location that completely took my breath away. It was my first time shooting here, and let me just say: I’m officially obsessed. The waves crashing on the rocks created the most magical splashes, and the backdrop made my client look like a real-life mermaid. Whether she was standing, sitting, or just soaking in the moment, every second was frame-worthy.
Paige wanted a sunset maternity session, and this spot delivered beyond our wildest expectations. The lighting, the colors, the textures—everything aligned so perfectly. I’m now recommending this beach for every session moving forward. It’s just that good.
She brought two stunning outfit changes that made the entire shoot feel elevated and editorial. The first look was a shimmery, see-through gown that highlighted her bump so beautifully—it was soft, ethereal, and totally goddess energy. The second outfit? A trendy open-back skirt set that I’ve seen gaining popularity lately. And I see why—it was hands-down my favorite. It moved so effortlessly in the wind and gave us the most dreamy silhouettes.
We wrapped this session in just 30 to 40 minutes and walked away with so many incredible shots. And fun fact—I used my on-camera flash for this session, even though we were outdoors. It gave the images a punch of dimension and depth that elevated the whole gallery. Honestly, it made the photos 1000% better.
While the sunset gave us a stunning cast of blues and softness in the sky, I highly recommend considering a sunrise session here. Since the sun rises on our side of the coast, you'll get the most perfect glow—think rich oranges and cotton candy skies lighting up the ocean behind you. It’s the kind of light that turns a beautiful session into pure magic.
If you’re dreaming of a romantic, beachy maternity session with a splash of whimsy, Deerfield Beachfront Park might just be your new favorite, too.
